USIA Chairman Soo-Young Kwon



Prof. Soo-Young Kwon is the Chairman of the United Sigma Intelligence Association (USIA).


Prof. Kwon has served as a Professor of Counseling & Coaching, and Artificial Emotional Intelligence Research Center's Director in the Institute of Convergence Science at Yonsei University (#1 private university in Asia). He was the Dean of the College of Theology and the United Graduate School of Theology of Yonsei University, and the Director of the Center for Counseling and Coaching Services at Yonsei University.


He also served as President of the Association of Korean Counseling Professionals, the Korean Association of Couple and Family Counseling, and the Korean Association of Christian Counseling and Psychology.


He is well known for his emphasis on intercultural dialogue, as well as his interdisciplinary approach that brings together theology, psychology, and other social sciences. Dr. Kwon’s research interests include methods in practical theology, multicultural counseling, and spiritually integrated psychotherapy.


He received a doctorate in religion and psychology from Graduate Theological Union (GTU) located in Berkeley, United States, a master's degree in theology from Harvard University Divinity School, a master's degree from Boston University, and a bachelor's degree in theology from Yonsei University.
