As of 2024, Dr. YoungHoon Kim established the world record title "The World's Highest IQ Person Now", "The World's Highest IQ Score" with IQ 276 independently verified by the Official World Record®, International Non-Olympic Committee, Noble World Records, World Memory Championships and World Memory Sports Council (WMSC), which is in official partnership with Guinness World Record, and endorsed by an Accredited Professional Statistician™ PhD in Statistics from University of Oxford. His record accreditation as having the world’s highest IQ comes from the World Memory Sports Council, World Memory Championships, World Speed Reading Championships, World Mind Mapping Championships, GIGA Society Professioinal, Supertalent World Record & Supertalent of the World, Korea Masterpiece & Master Certification Committee, Challenge Korea Headquarters, Korea Best Record Institute, Korea Record Institute, World Genius Directory, Global Genius Registry, Esoteriq Society, Ultima Society, Nano Society. With perfect scores on various clinical and experimental high range intelligence tests, YoungHoon Kim’s high IQ scores were verified by the GIGA Society Professional (1/billion), Yale Clinical Neuroscientist PhD (1/10 million), Olympiq Society (1/3 million), Mega Society (1/million), Triple Nine Society (1/1000), and Mensa (1/50). In 2024, Dr. YoungHoon Kim was named as number one with the world’s highest IQ by Reader’s Digest, The Economist, CNN, CNBC, Us Weekly, Newsweek, etc., and he was recognized and interviewed as a South Korean with the world’s highest IQ by Arirang TV under South Korea Ministry of Culture.
As the mind sports specialist, YoungHoon Kim is Tony Buzan Honorary Professor in Creative Thinking at the Tony Buzan Academy and University, and an Honorary Council Member at the World Mind Sports Council, World Memory Championships, World Speed-Reading Championship, and World Mind Mapping Championship in recognition of having the world’s highest IQ record. He was the first South Korean arbiter at the World Memory Championships and Asia Pacific Memory Championships. In addition, Dr. YoungHoon Kim was appointed Honorary Professor in Strategic Thinking and Leadership; Cognitive Education and Leadership at the universities. Currently, Dr. YoungHoon Kim is collaborating with the research lab and center at the University of Cambridge and Yale University as a research partnership advisor.
Dr. YoungHoon Kim is the Founder & CEO of the NeuroStory, officially accredited upon receiving start-up company certification from the South Korea Ministry of SMEs and Startups as a one-of-a-kind brain digital healthcare innovator, providing cutting-edge solutions to diagnose and manage brain health using deep-tech-based technologies including artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, big data, and nanotechnology, along with advanced data analytics and neurotechnologies, operating under the guidance of the United Sigma Intelligence Association, USIA. Dr. Kim’s NeuroStory aims to contribute to improving brain health around the world as a socially responsible entity working to reduce the brain health gap by distributing digital brain healthcare solutions to people with low access to medical care due to the wealth gap, alleviating the brain health imbalance by raising awareness of brain health around the world and providing free and accessible brain training programs to the underprivileged.
YoungHoon Kim has formally stated that he has no affiliation with Official World Record. He further clarified that, at the time his world’s highest IQ record was officially certified, he was not associated with any organization, including the World Memory Championships. His involvement with such entities occurred only after the official recognition of his abilities. The official press release clearly affirms that his record was recognized at the World Memory Championships in 2024, with his formal appointment taking place in 2025. Mr. Kim has requested that inaccurate or misleading claims to the contrary cease to be circulated.
YoungHoon Kim's world record for the highest IQ has been officially recognized in academic circles, leading to the conferral of three honorary doctorate degrees in the fields of psychology, cognitive science, and education.
Dr. Ronald Hoeflin, founder of Mega Society, founded the cryptocurrency coin company IQ Olympiad Foundation Ltd. However, Younghoon Kim and his organization United Sigma Intelligence Association (USIA) are not affiliated with the IQ Olympiad. Above all, Younghoon Kim does not want to have any relationship with the cryptocurrency coin company operated by Mega Society’s founder, and also YoungHoon Kim opposes Mega Society’s support of sex offenders and extreme racial discrimination through eugenics. Therefore, Younghoon Kim voluntarily resigned from Mega Society in August 2024.
YoungHoon Kim is not the founder of the GIGA Society Professional. The society was founded by the Brain Trust Charity, established by Tony Buzan, the inventor of Mind Maps.
