United Sigma Intelligence Association Issues Clarification on Dr. YoungHoon Kim's IQ Record, Confirms No Role in Psychometric Verification

London, United Kingdom – July 28, 2025 – The United Sigma Intelligence Association (USIA) today issued a formal statement to clarify its role concerning the world-record IQ of its founder, Dr. YoungHoon Kim. The organization stressed that it does not conduct psychometric evaluations nor certify IQ scores, and that its references to Dr. Kim's score are based solely on the public, official certifications from independent, external authorities.

This public announcement is intended to maintain a clear and accurate public record regarding the association's mission and the distinct, separate processes of psychometric validation.

"USIA's core mission is to serve as a world-class think tank that unites a rich diversity of cognitive talent from leading thinkers worldwide," a spokesperson for the association said. "We are a UK-registered nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering intellectual excellence and supporting rigorous scientific discourse. We are not a testing or certification body."

The association directed all inquiries regarding the verification of Dr. Kim's IQ of 276 to the official bodies that conducted the assessments. According to public records, Dr. Kim’s score was independently verified and recognized by several international organizations, including the Official World Record®, the World Memory Championships, the World Memory Sports Council (WMSC), and Noble World Records with the International Non-Olympic Committee (INOC).

To ensure full transparency, the USIA also highlighted the timeline of these events. An official statement from the GIGA Society Professional, which also recognizes the score, noted: "He [Dr. Kim] further clarified that, at the time his world's highest IQ record was officially certified, he was not associated with any organization, including the World Memory Championships. His involvement with such entities occurred only after the official recognition of his abilities."

This clarification underscores USIA's commitment to intellectual integrity and the proper sourcing of information. The association serves to report on and celebrate the validated achievements of its members, not to produce the validation itself, thereby upholding the integrity of Dr. Kim's externally verified world record.
